Our Pre. Em. Governor, James W. Hemstrought, Jr., has scheduled the next Assembly of the United York Rite College #127 for Saturday, 15 March 2014 at 1:15 PM in the Lodge Room of the Oneonta Masonic Temple, 322 Main St., Oneonta NY 13820.
AMD will be meeting in the temple at 10:30 AM and you and your lady have been invited to join with them for lunch, at a very nominal cost, at 12:00 noon. FIRM RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR THE LUNCH AND MUST BE RECEIVED BY WEDNESDAY, MARCH 12th. It is strongly recommended if you plan to move through the chairs. Masters & Wardens pays for the course for any Brother who is a Jr. or Sr. Warden of his lodge even if he has had the chair before. Let your Master/Secretary know by Friday January 3rd so they can get you enrolled.

On Saturday, December 14, at 11:00 A.M., there will be a School of Instruction at the Oxford Masonic Temple for Zones 5 & 7 (Commanderies #19, #21, #38, #46, #50 and #78). The instructors will be Sir Knight Frederick A. Beitter, Grand Generalissimo and Sir Knight Richard Kerimoglu, Grand Captain General.
I am sure it will be most informative. Bring any questions you may have, this is the place to ask.
On December 12, 2013, Norwich Commandery #46 will be having its annual Christmas Program, complements of Sir Knight Francis Wilcox. I know it will be worth attending as Sir Knight Francis always produces an outstanding and memorable program.
There will also be a Dinner in conjunction with this program, under the auspices of Sir Knight Allen Lang, who, along with the ladies of The Eastern Star, prepare an excellent meal, not to be missed.

PROGRAM: Exemplify the 1st Section of The Order of Knight of York
Formerly the property of Yorktown Lodge, Virginia, this clock stood in the lodge rooms when George Washington and the Marquis de Lafayette visited in October 1783., and at the Masonic Banquet held following the surrender of Cornwallis which signaled the end of the American Revolution.
Freemasons fought on both sides of the Revolution, although most Americans are familiar with those Founding Fathers were also Freemasons: Washington; Benjamin Franklin; Paul Revere; John Hancock; Lafayette; Ethan Allen; Baron von Steuben; together with none signers of the Declaration of Independence, nine signers of the Articles of Confederation, and thirteen signers of the United States Constitution. Many Freemasons saw the establishment of the American Republic as the culmination of the Masonic ideals of liberty, equality, and fraternity.
