To All Masons, Eastern Star Members, Family and Friends:

Rev. Allen C. Lang and wife, Carol, will be retiring and leaving our area and a Special Reception is being planned to honor them for all their service to the many Masonic bodies in Oxford, the surrounding area and the State. Everyone is cordially invited to attend this reception on Monday, May 18, 2015 at the Masonic Building, 27 East Main St., Oxford, NY 13830 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. This is a Reception, not a dinner and no cost to those attending. A special presentation is scheduled for 7:00 pm.

This is an opportunity for all of us to thank Allen and Carol for the twenty-four years of active participation in Masonry here in Oxford and the surrounding areas. In order to help with preparations for this event, we are requesting that those attending would let us know and the number that may be coming with you. Grand lecturer's Convention, presented by your Grand lecturer, the RE Peter Pizzorno. Those of you that attended last years convention, will remember that RE Pizzorno is an engaging speaker. This year, Companions, promises to be just as informative and entertaining.

The date of the Convention will be April 13, 2015 at the Masonic Temple, 322 Main St, Oneonta NY. Oneonta Chapter #277 will act as host. We will open the Convention at 7:30 pm, with a dinner at 6:30. $10 donation requested.

The sixth annual Masters & Wardens Golf Tournament is scheduled for 8:00am, Saturday August 1, 2015 at Colonial Ridge Golf Course in Laurens, NY. To sign up for this event please fill out the form below and include your name, teammate’s names and team name. Teams need to consist of 4 members with at least 2 that are Masons while the other 2 members of a team can be non-Masons or women.

The cost for each person to play will be $70 for a team total cost of $280. Payment for this event will be due at the golf course at the time of team check in.

Tee time is about 8:00 AM. Get there early to sign in and pay. We will be selling mulligans as usual for $20.00 per team. Also tickets for door prizes. After 18 holes of golf we will return to the clubhouse for a steak dinner and awarding of prizes. As usual every team will get some prize money. It should be over by 2 PM.

To the Brothers of the Otsego-Schoharie Masonic District,

Come one, come all! Please join us for the 2nd annual district ritual competition on February 28, 2015 at Otsego Lodge in Cooperstown. A chili cook-off will start at 12pm with the ritual competition following at 1pm. This is a great opportunity to show off your ritualistic capabilities, gain more light in masonry, and share in great fellowship and fun. And last but certainly not least, the Golden Protractor Award is up for grabs!!

The newly revised “Capstone Course” will be presented by Right Excellent Peter C. Pizzorno, Grand Lecturer and Right Excellent Allan M. Bryant, Grand Principal Sojourner on Saturday, February 7, 2015 in Oxford Chapter #254 at 1:00 pm. Coffee, donuts and soda will be available.

This very interesting and informative program is highly recommended for High Priests, officers moving up the line and all Royal Arch Masons. This course is similar to the Blue Lodge “Road to the East” course, but from a Royal Arch Mason’s point of view, and presented using Power­Point Slides.

Right Excellent Pizzorno and Right Excellent Bryant are taking time out of their busy schedules to be with us and present this very important educational program. Let’s show our appreciation by your attendance.

Companions, any who have attended the Grand Lecturer's convention, know how well RE Pizzorno delivers. RE Bryant is equal to this. I assure you that the information, that is to be presented, will be interesting and useful.
